Attorney

The grandson of Irish immigrants, Walter Emil Teague III is a second generation Angelino with over 45 years in the legal field.  Mr. Teague concentrates his practice in representing corporations and individuals in employment related disputes, breach of contract, and general civil defense.

He began his career as a Staff Attorney of the Women’s Law Center of Southern California where he became involved in civil rights, employment discrimination, and family law.  Also at this time, he became one of the first Advocate/Procurators in Canon Law with the new Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange, in Orange County, California.  He soon advanced to Legal Director of the Women’s Law Center where his duties now included political advocacy, fund raising and administration.  It was also at this time when he became admitted to practice before the United States District Court, for the Central District of California.  Admission to the Supreme Court of the United States followed shortly thereafter.

In time, Mr. Teague opened his own law office and expanded his practice to include commercial litigation, consumer advocacy, bankruptcy, criminal and immigration law.  Mr. Teague’s burgeoning civil practice required him to be sworn into the United States Court of Appeals, for the Ninth Circuit so that he may represent clients on appeal.

After successfully practicing in his individual capacity, Mr. Teague felt that he wanted to focus more of his time on his work with clients and focus less on the mundane management responsibilities that are inherent with being a solo-practitioner.  This decision brought him to BWA Law Group where he now holds his position as Senior litigation counsel.

Mr. Teague is a graduate of Pepperdine University Law School (1975) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from California State University Long Beach (1972).
